ENER-G wins Salford Business Award

Uk Manufacturer ENER-G has won praise for its export achievements - as runner-up in the Salford Business Awards International Trade category.

The International Trade Award,  supported by UKTI, was announced at a ceremony at Salford City Stadium on 5th June. Fellow manufacturing business Harland Machine Systems took the top prize for export.  

ENER-G, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, exports its Salford designed and manufactured combined heat and power (CHP) systems and biogas generation technologies to 17. 

The company is european market leader in small scale CHP and its energy efficient technologies help organisations globally to reduce their carbon footprint by 5.3 million tonnes each year. This is equivalent to the environmental benefit of removing 1.7 million cars from the road.

The Awards are  organised by the University of Salford, The Business Group Salford and Salford City Council. ENER-G won the coveted Business of the Year Award at the first awards in 2009 and is sponsor of the Energy and Environment Award, won by Community Forest Trust.
