Energy UK Industry Workshop - 'Sharing the EU electricity network codes experience' Friday 16 January 2015 - 10am to 4pm Elexon Offices, 4th Floor, 350 Euston Road, London NW1 3AW
Chris Marsland, Technical Director for ENER-G Combined Power Ltd, is part of the Industry Panel at this industry event, which is aimed at raising awareness about major proposed changes to EU electricity network codes.
The free workshop - featuring other speakers from Ofgem, DECC, and National Grid - will discuss the ways to actively influence the network code elaboration process, so that it benefits GB industry.
Chris is playing a lead technical role in the Requirements for Generators Work Group, which is an industry response (including Cogen Europe, CHPA, AMPS and many other leading generators and industry players) to the consultation on the European Network Code on Requirements for Grid Connection Applicable to all Generators (RfG). Under RfG, new European Grid Codes will be introduced, which will necessitate modification to generating equipment, including CHP, to accommodate future connection to electrical grids.
