The IET Manchester Heat Debate - Invitation 29 January 2014 (6pm to 9pm) Media City, Salford, Greater Manchester
Chris Marsland, Technical Director of ENER-G Combined Power will join an expert panel for The IET Manchester Heat Debate. This is a free event and is part of a national initiative to capture knowledge and opinion about creating low carbon heating systems. Topics for debate include: CHP, heat pumps, fuel sources, control systems, market conditions and government directives and incentives.
There will be a guided tour of the Media City CHP facility before the debate, which will encourage active discussion between the panel and audience.
As Technical Director for ENER-G Combined Power, Chris Marsland is responsible for the engineering content of all ENER-G's CHP projects as well as taking a leading role in product design. He is part of a major research consortium to find innovative new ways of ' keeping the lights on' and decarbonising energy supplies across the UK, as demand increases. This involves using clusters of CHP systems within a Virtual Power Plant to reinforce supply.
